As we drove the 25 km to pick up the trailer today in a neighboring village, the rain poured.....but it stopped to give Johan time to hook up the trailer. Again, it rained as we drove to the saw mill, but as we arrived there was even a little sun shining as we loaded the lumber....and then as we off-loaded the lumber and walked it up the hill to the barn, It remained dry too...but as soon as we were finished the sky opened up once again.
It rained off and on all day....more on than off. We had to remind each other that this was good weather for the mushroom growing in the forest.
So today was a down day for the most part. I researched where I will be going for the last week of my trip. As of today, I have 2 weeks left before I head home. The last week I will be mostly on my own, exploring other parts of Sweden I have not yet seen. I will also spend a night at Margaretta's home in Eskilstuna with Maria. Johan and Carina did some work on the barn and put up some tarps to work under, but still, not a lot of progress was made.
We still have a couple of days here, so we are still hopeful that the job will be complete before we leave.
For dinner this afternoon, Carina made a great Swedish meatloaf....basically a really big Swedish meatball with lots of allspice...just as I like it! Nom Nom!
Today I was reminded of those slow rainy day I spent as a child in a cabin with by aunt, uncle and cousins....it was a nice, cozy memory.
So glad to hear you will be staying at Margaretta's house with Maria ( and Samson too I bet ). That will mean a lot to Maria, and you will all have a great time I am sure.
