On the way to and the first full day on Gothenburg

Swedish Trains run so smoothly. The views all the way north from Copenhagen were stunning for our arrival in Gothenburg. The Kattegatt (part of the North Sea) was to our left and was so beautiful with beaches and red farmhouses along the way.  It was a 4 hr very comfortable ride.

We arrived in Gothenburg with Carina and Johan meeting us at the station.  We arrived at their lovely home and met Alice, their teenage daughter.

Today we drove down to Varberg = a beach town on the Sea.  We arrived at the fortress there, dating back to approx 1000 AD for a Medieval Festival.  It was very cool and the wares were wonderous.

When we returned home we met more cousins, Hjordis and Amanda.  We had a lovely dinner on the back deck and are coming to an end of our day.  However, it will not get dark.  I awoke at 4am to bright light after going to bed at 11pm and it was light then as well.  It never did get very dark.
Stay tuned for more adventures to come.
