Tom and I packed up our things from the apartment and headed down on the tram towards Carina's house......They are all up at the summer house now so we are taking a break in the quiet here and doing a load of laundry before we jump into Johan's car to drive north to the summer house.
We were offline a couple of days so we are also taking this time to catch up on emails and online stuff.
Yesterday we visited the Gothenburg Botanical Gardens and it is very beautiful. The grounds are immaculate and the variety of plants is great.
After, we continued on the tram to the station nearest to Carina's house and then walked the 1.25 miles the rest of the way.
We all helped to pick the ripe black currants from the bushes before many of Carina's siblings arrived for a little dinner party to meet their American cousins. It was a great Swedish dinner....a Smorgastorte (sandwich cake) with shrimps, vegetables and caviar.... delicious!
It was such fun meeting and chatting with our newly-found relatives!
