It will be a 3-hour train ride.
I am riding the train facing the back today....it is a good thing this did not happen while Jan was with me! The train is currently moving at 187 km/hr. and we are passing through some beautiful countryside.
We awoke this morning in Helsingborg and headed towards Lund. Along the way, we stopped in Landskrona to see the Citadel Slott, a castle built about 1550. The castle tour is not available on Mondays, but we were able to wander around the outside. This castle is protected by 3 moats circling the grounds. It is one of many castle and fortresses located in the south part of what was at times Denmark and currently Sweden. If you want to learn more about this place https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landskrona_Citadel
In one of the moats swam a mother duck and her little ducklings. A bit late in the season for babies, but there they were.
We stopped in town for Fika (what did you expect?) and there was a cemetery right there. We saw a very large angel in the center of the well kept grounds and had to take a picture or 2.
In Lund, I said goodbye to Johan, Alex, and Birgitta. I will reunite with Carina next Monday in Skara, and with Johan and Alex next Tuesday to spend 1 more night with them before I head home.
Happy Birthday, Alex!
